Come play

Come see me
Come hear me
Come touch me
Come hold me
Come share your world
And make me feel
I’m not the only one in need
For some genuine believe
In that this world has more than greed

Where is the empathy
As we hide behind our curtains
Take the truth from
Powered pigs that squeal for
Food to make them fatter

Come out and play with me
We used to dance around the fire
And tell stories of our hero’s
Till we cuddled up together
Fell asleep with peaceful minds

And now we lie awake at night
In lonesome fenced-in villa’s
Take our Valium with wine
So we don’t have to face our demons
And can take comfort in denial

Come see me
Come hear me
Come touch me
Come hold me
Come share your world
And make me feel
I’m not the only one in need
For some genuine believe
In that this world has more than greed

Where is the curiousness
That let us interact with strangers
With an eager state of mind
To learn from different views on life
And appreciate the new

Come out and play with me
We used to show the tricks we learned
And teach them to each other
Till we performed an act of grace
Our talent complements the others

Now we hide away in fear
Stuck in rules from doctrinaires
Preach from books that are mere symbols
To a metaphor of Life
And we take comfort in our fights

Come see me
Come hear me
Come touch me
Come hold me
Come share your world
And make me feel
I’m not the only one in need
For some genuine believe
In that this world has more than greed
